Germany near Bochum and Dortmund
I started in the beginning of 2016, heard about longboards from my friends and decided to give it a try.
What’s your favorite trick or thing to do on a board and why?
Currently the favorite trick is nollie frontside shuvit, and for a thing – nose manuals and G-turns.
How did longboarding change you as a person?
Longboarding became a part of my life, a hobby, a sport, something to clear my mind and make me feel good when I need it. It taught me to never quit and that everything is easy as long as you enjoy it.
On being sponsored
I’m currently sponsored by a local shop – Boardshop Bulgaria. Also a local brand – Society Of Tomorrow.
One of the greatest benefit is that you don’t need to worry about some things like how much your shoes will last for example.
Do you have an everyday board, the board that you always ride with? Why this particular board?
At the moment, I’m riding with a Timber Tortini with Paris trucks and Orangatang Fat Free. It’s the only setup I have and it’s the perfect one. Perfect deck for my desires, as the pop is high, the length and width are suitable for me and it’s the most durable I’ve had so far. The Paris trucks are a favorite for carve and dance lines.
I try to keep my setup light, so the wheels are not that big, but at the same time they are the right size for street riding.
What’s your favorite nourishment after a session?
Most of the time it’s whatever I have in my backpack, but it also depends on where the session is. It usually is some kind of a junk food.
Do you have someone in longboarding or skateboarding you look up to?
There are a lot of people that somehow motivate me and give me ideas on how to improve as a rider. One of them is the guy that ride with most of the time – Ivan Traykov from DaSilva, and the guy that I most look up to is Jeff O. from Timber Boards.
How did this person affect the way you longboard?
Ivan helped me with most of the tricks I do today and always gives tips and ideas on how I can improve the things I do in longboarding. Jeff always motivates me to give my best every time so I can get better.
If given a chance to meet this person what would you ask them, what would you want to talk about?
Maybe I would ask them about some tricks and I’d like to ride with them.
Describe briefly what do you do outside longboarding?
Just finished High School, starting University soon which will leave me less time for riding unfortunately. Another hobby of mine that is as big as longboarding is gaming so whenever it’s raining outside, that’s my backup plan.
What are your struggles right now?
Some minor personal struggles that don’t affect me much luckily.
One piece of advice
Always leave time for the things you love.
A personal quote that keeps you motivated
It always seems impossible until it’s done
Suggested Music, brief description why?
Mostly Hip-hop, the instrumentals hype me and I feel the things I do way easier. Listening to people like Kendrick Lamar and Run the Jewels always bring the best out of me. Sometimes chill songs to match my dancing too.
