I’m originally from Sevilla, Spain! (But I live in Madrid), What I like the most is Longboard dancing and freestyle!
Well, I started a long time ago like 4-5 years ago.
When I first went to “El Paseo de Camoens” in Madrid with my family to have some chill on Sunday and at the park we saw a lot of people with really long boards and big wheels having fun and dancing all over the pavement or just going very fast in the hills… It really surprised us!
Later, I had some ear surgery and I was not able to practise my favourite sport at that moment, soccer. So to do some weekly sport we bought a small board from Mindless Longboard and a helmet!
I have really good memories with my friends of the school… But It was not until last year when I decided to ride more and focus on longboard as main sport!
What’s your favorite trick or thing to do on a board and why?
Mmm… I really love no comply tricks! (any of them hehe) But maybe my favourite move is the 360 body varial!
I know it is not a super trick but “The story” behind it is what matters for me. 😀 When Adam Colton was in Madrid I asked him for teaching me some moves and he explained me how to do it! Also It is a super fun move for dancing and I love the feeling when rotating and landing it clearly!
How did longboarding change you as a person?
A lot! I have made a lot of friends and all of them are really nice! So talking with them and learning from what they have to say have helped me to understand more points of views…
Do you currently have a sponsor? How did that happen?
Yes I have, Im riding now for Luca longboards.
Last year I bought a board from them so with the time it started to break so I decided to tell them about the board! After that we started to talk more and more…
Later they came to Madrid and I met a lot of the team riders and we had some good times, They are super nice! Some weeks after, Lukasz (the boss hehe) told me he wanted me to join the team :).
What are the benefits or perks of being sponsored?
Yes there are! It helps a lot if you don’t have as much money you want to invest in Longboarding and also is nice to try new stuff the brand is cooking for the next seasons taking it to account your opinion.
Do you have an everyday board, the board that you always ride with?
I’m at the moment riding the Luca Ballar, 48 inches of pure dancing delight. I love big ones hehe.
They sent me a prototype of next year season to test and give me feedback and despite is the second version they have made, it is an awesome board.
Describe your setup, what’s good about it?
I’m riding Paris Savant with Orangatang Nipples, super stable, surfy feeling and resistant!
For the wheels I’m using Blood Orange 65mm 84a, I like the feeling they give you with the road.
Also with them I use a Spanish brand of bearings and Gform to protect my shins!
Do you have a (Pack, Crew, Longboard Org, or friends you skate with regularly)? Do you guys have a name? How did you join?
Well I have a group with some friends called “Longers Mongers” Where we are almost all the people I used to ride now! They add me last year when I met them in a Lm.longboardmadrid event.
The big community here is Lm.longboardmadrid they put a lot of effort to make nice events and a cruising each Friday!
Who is the most influential (longboarder or skateboarder) that makes you want to push your progression! Why?
It is a really hard question haha as with Instagram each day I discover new riders and styles! Duoduo, Jobinjo, Bseok, Achel, Adam Colton, Jeffo, Perropro, Blin, Allue, Robert… a lot more of riders!
But the ones that make me progress the most are the ones I use to ride with! Juanjo, Ivan, Sol, Pelisito…
Maybe because each one have a different styles and you have fun when watching them so they motivate you to keep pushing forward.
How did this person affect the way you longboard?
They encourage you to try new things and moves so you learn a lot!
Describe briefly what do you do outside longboarding
I’m a Russian secret spy! Just kidding haha (or not)… naaaah!
I’m studying Computer Sciences and now I’m focusing on Networks, Structures and Security 😀
What would people be surprised to know about you?
Mmm maybe That I don’t hear with my left ear but I think people notice it when they talk to me haha.
Also I love bears.
What are your struggles right now?
Maybe the flip or kickflip, hate that trick I always try but never succeed.
One piece of advice
Skate and enjoy! Everything will come in the right moment!
A personal quote that keeps you motivated
There are some quotes that motivate me but there is one that says…
I don’t know where is the limit but I know that it is not here
Somehow it gives me extra energy hehe.
Depending the situation but Nada Surf is a really lovely band hehe.
The version they have of the (Pixies) song “Where is my mind” is just gold for the ears.
